Such a wonderful moment when a new baby is born. As I looked at my newest grandchild, held her, smelled her sweet baby scent, I couldn't help but imagine her future. So exciting with lots of birthday parties, play dates, ballet, driving lessons, a wedding.
But this dream for the future is not to be. Instead a new harsh reality steps in. My granddaughter is diagnosed as a special needs kid. Her future will be different and harder. But at the same time, she will bring a new way of looking at the world. Her special needs will make those around her more special. Family and friends will change their own outlook on life; be more thankful for their healthy children and grandchildren and be supportive of people and organizations who want to provide for my special needs granddaughter.
So once again I come to you and ask to give generously to Friendship Circle. It is a unique group of adults and teens who learn from one another how to be better human beings, to give of themselves to make special needs kids happy.
Our budget is very tight. Our expenses are kept to the minimum, but nevertheless, electricity, rent, insurance, salaries continue to rise. Consequently our financial needs grow and so my ask this time is for a bit more. Hopefully you appreciate the uniqueness of this organization and want to help it meet its vision to be there for this special community. Thanks so much for your support. Fondly Susan
